Why it matters

What better credit unlocks

Every point on your score changes what you pay. Here's what's waiting on the other side of a clean credit report.

New homeowner receiving keys to their first house

First-time home buyer

Most mortgage programs want a 620+ score. We help you clear report errors so you qualify for better rates and lower down payments.

Modern home representing mortgage programs

Mortgage programs

FHA, VA, USDA and conventional loans all price off your credit. A stronger score can mean thousands saved over the life of a loan.

Car on the open road

Car loans

Auto lenders tier their rates by score. Moving up one tier before you shop can cut your interest rate dramatically.

Person paying with a credit card

Better credit cards

Good credit unlocks rewards cards, higher limits and 0% intro offers — instead of high-fee cards that hold you back.

Family home at dusk

Your next chapter

Credit is a tool. With clean reports and the right habits, the big goals — home, car, business — get a lot closer.

Legal-grade disputes

Dispute papers reviewed by real attorneys, backed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act

We don't send generic template letters. Each dispute is prepared around the consumer-protection laws that TransUnion, Equifax and Experian are legally required to obey.

Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)

Every dispute letter is built on your rights under the FCRA — the federal law that requires credit bureaus and furnishers to report only accurate, verifiable information.

Reviewed by real attorneys

Our dispute papers are reviewed by real attorneys and grounded in the Fair Credit Reporting Act, so each challenge cites the law the bureaus must follow.

CFPB standards

Our process follows Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) guidance, and if a bureau fails to properly investigate, we show you how to escalate a complaint to the CFPB.

Credit education

Removing errors is half the game. Building is the other half.

Secured cards

What is a secured card?

A secured card works like a regular credit card, but you put down a refundable deposit (often $200–$500) that becomes your limit. It reports to all three bureaus just like a normal card, so on-time payments build real history. It's usually the easiest card to get approved for with damaged credit — and many graduate to unsecured cards within 6–12 months.

Card habits

How to maintain your credit cards

Keep utilization under 30% — under 10% is even better. Pay on time, every time (set autopay for at least the minimum). Never close your oldest card, because age of history matters. And don't max a card out even if you pay it off monthly; the balance on statement date is what gets reported.

Authorized user

The authorized user strategy

Being added as an authorized user on a family member's well-managed, older card can add that positive history to your reports. Choose a card with low utilization and a perfect payment record — and know the risk goes both ways if payments are missed.

Tradelines

Primary tradelines vs. authorized user

A primary tradeline is an account in your own name — it carries the most weight with lenders. Authorized-user tradelines can help your score, but mortgage and auto underwriters discount them. The strongest files mix both: your own secured card or credit-builder loan, plus seasoned AU history.

Mortgage prep

First home buyer & mortgage programs

FHA loans can approve scores around 580 with 3.5% down; conventional usually wants 620+, and the best rates start near 740. Disputing inaccurate negatives, dropping utilization, and avoiding new inquiries 6 months before applying are the biggest pre-approval moves you can make.

Auto loans

Getting a car loan with less

Auto lenders use industry-specific scores and tiered pricing. Before you shop: pull your reports, dispute errors, pay cards down, and get pre-approved through a credit union. A 50–80 point improvement can move you from subprime double-digit APRs to single digits.

Credit-builder loans

Credit-builder & promissory loans

Credit-builder loans hold your payments in savings and report each on-time payment to the bureaus — a simple promissory note that builds history without needing approval based on your score. Pair one with a secured card and you have two primary tradelines reporting monthly.

The full picture

Stacking strategies that work

Disputes remove the negatives. Secured cards and builder loans add positive primary history. Authorized-user accounts add age. Low utilization ties it together. Done in the right order, these moves compound — and that's exactly the plan we build with you in the portal.
